S&R Founders
Dr. Sachiko Kuno and Dr. Ryuji Ueno and founded The S&R Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., in 2000. S&R Foundation’s mission is to support talented individuals with great potential and high aspirations in the sciences and arts, especially those who contribute to U.S. – Japanese cultural collaboration. The Foundation sponsors annual award programs, hosts events and works with its partners to encourage scientific and artistic innovation, and promote cultural and personal growth.
