Overtures Chamber Music Project: Tamaki Kawakubo and Friends

Put together by S&R Foundation Washington Award Winner Tamaki Kawakubo, this first Overtures Chamber Music Project group will feature an amazing group of young artists, each one of soloist quality. Violinist Erik Schumann plays with Maestro Eschenbach. Cellist Claudio Bohorquez also plays with Maestro Eschenbach and is professor in Stuttgart. Cellist Tim Park plays in the Erlenbusch Quartet. Gareth Lubbe is currently Principal Violist in the Gewandhaus Orchestra of Leipzig, and has been a teacher at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Musikhochschule. Double bassist Nabil Shehata is a professor in Munich, conductor and former bassist of Berlin Philharmonic. Pianist Yu Kosuge performs more than 40 concerts a year. She has worked with many of the leading European orchestras and performs regularly in Japan.

This is the first time that this group will perform together.
